What odd news on this day. It seemed a little surreal to read the breaking news. I even, for a second, questioned if it was April Fool's Day, but realized that's still a couple of months away. The WB and UPN are ceasing to exist and what survives of their lineup will be broadcast on a newly created network, The CW (C for CBS, W for Warner Brothers).

I think this could be good for Veronica Mars. And yes, at this point, that is my primary concern. The only WB/UPN shows I catch sporadically are Supernatural and Everybody Hates Chris. I think all three are likely to make the new lineup, and with a larger broadcast audience and one less network to compete against. Rumblings are of a possible Gilmore Girls/Veronica Mars night, which everyone seems to think would be a good fit. I don't watch GG, so I'll just take people's word for that. From the news, it appears that The CW will be on what is now my local UPN affiliate, which makes me really curious to see what becomes of what is now my WB station. I'm just really curious to see how this all plays out.
